Questions to think about: September 14 [week1]

 

1. What is your axiological perspective?


What do you value or believe in design for health research?

 

 

One of my primary goals regarding human life is fair treatment. Everyone deserves to get treated equally when they need the treatment at the right time, right space and by the right professionals. 

 

 

 

 

2. What is your ontological perspective?

What social realities do you wish to study in design for health research?

 

In terms of social realities, I want to study further how to make a fair health care policy for the communities. 

3. What is your epistemological perspective?

What knowledge, and approaches to ways of knowing do you wish to study in design for health research?

 

If my research topic is healthy ageing, geriatrics I need to define the design problems that need to be addressed. I studied interior architecture and digital media and have experience in digital marketing for more than a decade. In regard to epistemological perspective, I would explore where I can apply previous knowledge experience that I have in my life. 

 

Or I can research about the health issues that I have or my family have, thus I can write or describe health related topics based on this. For example, I wrote two assignemnts and both content came from my own experience. I found this method much easier to understand. I used this approach to learn the new knowledge  from the other class.

4. What is your theoretical perspective?

Is there a philosophical perspective on life that you wish to align with in design for health research?

I want to take a cognitive and socio- cultural approach toward a theoretical perspective.
