I learned a lot about their products and it was very interesting to see and tocuh the metal thread. I think the metal thread has many possibilities in terms of wearable technologies.I visited Myant which was part of a field trip from the Fashion Exchange program in 2018.

Myant produces textile products using computerized sewing machines. This is called textile computing and this company developed their own methods to design and create a product.
It is interesting to see the manufacturing process of the product - how the product is developed from the fiber to fabric and fabric to finished product.
What does Myant do?
(from company site description)
Myant is on a mission to empower humanity through Textile Computing™. We knit sensors and actuators into everyday textiles, giving them the ability to sense and react to the human body. ... This is what we call Textile Computing™. Back in 2010, Tony Chahine started on a journey to make his vision of the future a reality.
