I want to collect more information on the diabetes device for the improvement. I found this blood level tracking note from my mom’s room and she never used it because of its small size. It was not convenient for her so she abandoned it. I think this analog tracker is worth investigating further and see how I can make an improvement. I think I can resize it to a letter size in a PDF form and upload it online. In this way, this could be shareable document and easy to use (just print it out before each use)

Blood sugar note

This is detailed information for the device that I used in 2 x 2 exercise.
It comes in a packaged box and there is another sealed package that contains the device pieces. The patient needs to assemble just before using it. In the initial condition, the needle is hidden inside but after I combine two pieces together, it is clearly visible which indicates that it is ready to use.
My mom doesn’t prefer this to the older device because it is hurtful when she attaches it to her body part. I think this is kind of an error because the company says the patient will be free from blood but it also causes blood leakage when we attach it incorrectly.
However, the actual device that attaches to a body has adhesive which is very strong and it becomes difficult to remove even after 2 weeks of usage.

Also Zahra also mentioned about new Apple Watch 7 also has a blood level checking function. I was wondering how apple would do that without getting blood out of the user. That Apple Watch is not only for the diabetes but for other users who don’t need that function and how they will incorporate the needle part to the watch? According to the website, this function is not available in the near future.

Blood pressure monitoring is on the way too, as is the option of tracking sleep disorders via a SpO2 sensor. Similarly, Apple hopes to integrate a blood glucose sensor in future Watch Series devices, but this could be a few years away from being commercially viable.
