[Researcher's Standpoint] Older Adults 2

I am going to revise the draft copy of Researcher's standpoint to define the topic. 

As I finally chose the topic for the assignment No.3 for Health Context and Design class, it also more clear about the direction for this assignment as well. 

I finally found the broader and narrow terms for the topic. 

 

The larger context I am thinking of for my research topic in the program is Healthy Ageing  or Ageing in place. I have an interest in older adult’s  living independently at their own place. However, I found out that many older adults have multiple chronic health conditions which are one of the most concerning areas that affect adults’ lifestyle. I choose diabetes as one of the most common chronic health conditions they have. 

In the broader term, the topic will cover 'Healthy Ageing' or 'Ageing in place'. 

And the sub category would be adopting technologies to enble independent living for older adults. 

The narrow topic is 'Identifying actionable self management barriers for older adults with T2D.

 

So the topic for the Researcher's stand point is adopting technologies to enble independent living for older adults.
