[team project] initial sketch

 

This is the initial sketch that just came to my mind as I tried to think about the physical object for this project. 

 

When I visited Korea ten years ago, I saw many junior school students carrying around this phone everywhere. It was called ‘middle schooler’s phone' in Korea at that time. Smartphones were already introduced and used widely among young students but still the majority of middle school students had this simple basic phone to communicate and play with. 

 

Also it would be a neat idea to reuse already produced products in different ways. 

This is a concept drawing for myself to start thinking about the product. 

 

I also want to combine the idea of Tamagotchi, a Japanese electronic toy that was introduced in 1996. 

 

By combining those two components together to make a new thing. Because I used an old phone, I wanted to remove the idea of a phone here. I wanted to make a retro toy out of an old phone.
