Questions to think about: September 21 [week2]

1. Who do you want to study?

I want to find the barriers for older adults to have healthy ageing. Also I want to discover how to increase the technology literacy among older adults.

2. What do you want to study?

  • Older adults in Long Term Care home and its implication
  • Older adults in Long Term Care home who have chronic disease
  • Diabetes and Ageing
  • Effective Communication method for New comers (older adults group)

3. How will you study 1 and/or 2?

I am going to use goolg scholar to search journal articles with relevant key words.

4. Why do you want to study 1-3?

Because diabetes is kind of family disease and affected some of relatives including my mother, I have natural interest in this types of disease.

5. How will you study 1-4? (What approach will you use?)

I will try to see the topic from older adults' perspectives because I am going to design or suggest a solution for older adults. Thus, it is important to understand their perspectives.  I'm interested in co-design methods to do this.

Workshop and survery look very reasonable to me because it will invite them to share their ideas and would involve some activities as well.

*Where: you can study anywhere now!

Okay, 6: Where do you want to study 1-5?

How will you study 1-4? (What approach will you use?)

What is the process of research?

- use inclusive logic, studies the topic within its context, and uses an emerging design
- works with particulars (detials) before generalizations, describes in detail the context of the study, and continually revises questions from expriences in the field
